Rossella Ongaretto born in Tivoli in 1968, architect & designer.
She lives and works in Roma.
She studies architecture at La Sapienza University of Rome and as graduating with a thesis supervised by Arnaldo Bruschi. She has a Research Doctorate in the History of Architecture.
Furniture design, interiour architecture and innovative use of materials are the main focus of interest of his activities.
Since 1998 he has been working in the architecture and design field.
In the 1999 her prototypes are exhibited at Designing Craft Show in Torino; in 2000 at Clermont L’Hérault in France; in 2001, at the “Primavera del Diseño” exhibition in Barcelona and at “Näyttelyn avajaiset” Show in UIAH- University of Art and Design in Helsinki in Finland; in 2002 at the Designing Craft show in Alessandria and at the 100%Design Show in London.
She was a professional consultant in many studios of architecture.
She worked at the Stage design for several shows in Rome; and in London she has been collaborating with Adam Stanley.
In the 2005 she Worked on the exhibition: I luoghi de La Sapienza- La Sapienza per Roma, at the Vittoriano Monument in Rome.
Since 2005 she is a Central Unit Design member with Andrea Masciantonio (architect and designer, Adam Stanley (theatre designer and mosaicist) and David Verga (graphic designer). Central Unit Design is a four-person architect-design collective from diverse backgrounds and training who work in different fields of expertise: interior; industrial; decorative and graphic design.
In 2006 Central Unit Design collective take part at the Salone Satellite in Milano Design Fair.
Rossella introduces her Dino Sofa celebrating a Pino Pascali sculture.
The sofa is currently exposed in Cantiere Bovisa in Milano and used in tv locations.
For the last three years she has also been involved in educational activities as a professor at the La Sapienza University of Rome, courses of “Garden and Landscape History” and “The History of Town Planning”, moreover collaborating at the courses of “Modern History of Architecture” and of “Method Analysis of the Architecture”.
She is currently conducting her professional activity in her own studio in Roma in the field of design, interiour architecture.
Now she is a Lecturer at La Sapienza University of Rome teatching The History of Architecture II, and she is an architect in a park close to Rome, working in the landscape department.
